ISBL offer two levels of accredited Marketing training:
Overview
1. Bitesize Marketing Webinar Series: Introduction to Marketing
A bite-sized training webinar series for SBPs and school staff to help improve the success of your school. This series of three 1-hour webinars will start you on the path to being able to understand and solve key marketing challenges, as well as updating you on the legal duties every school has around external communications.
2. Strategic Marketing and Communications Masterclass
A higher level, strategic Marketing and Communications course for those responsible for these aspects of school leadership within larger schools and multi-academy trusts. This can be viewed as two one-hour webinars or else delivered as a single day in person masterclass, either in school or at a suitable venue.

2. Strategic Marketing and Communications Masterclass

Exploring and defining the costs and benefits associated with school marketing and communications.
Quantification of marketing activities and associated benefits, such as increased income and improved quality of staff recruitment and sets out a way of creating a marketing and communications team to achieve this.
Creating an identifiable brand and an identity that can be articulated and understood by all stakeholders.
Ways of embedding an effective and positive culture within your people and overcome resistance to change.

The implementation of marketing and communications programmes.
Using management tools to identify our stakeholder groups (such as parents, current and future staff and the local community) and to understand how best to communicate with them.
Ensuring thinking considers all aspects of reputational management and how we can use innovations in technology to reach our audiences.
How effective marketing can have a positive influence on our ability to generate income from a range of sources, including sponsorships and commercial partnerships.
About the Training
What are the benefits of completing the training?
Participants will:
Gain an understanding of the key principles involved in marketing a school
Be able to contribute to the development of a school marketing plan (Associate Practitioner Level of the ISBL Professional Standards for Marketing and Communications).
As a result of undertaking strategic Marketing training, be able to critically define and assess stakeholder groups, facilitate and embed a consistent brand, embed a positive culture and lead on cost-benefit analysis and Identifying income generation opportunities
About the training

The Bitesizewebinar series is delivered weekly via Microsoft Teams. You will be sent joining instructions before the first webinar. We appreciate that emergencies can occur in school which may mean you are unable to attend one of the webinars. We record each of the webinars and provide you with access to them.
The Strategic marketingmasterclass is delivered via two 1 hour webinars that can be downloaded and viewed on demand.

The Bitesize webinar series sessions start a 10am and run for 1 hour usually over a 3 week period.
The Strategic Marketing series is delivered as two 1-hour webinars that you can watch in your own time and at your own pace.

The Bitesize webinar series is suitable for:
· School Business Leaders who are looking to develop marketing skills for the first time
Other administrative staff in schools who may have communication roles and would like to understand the principles behind marketing
Anyone working in a school who is curious about the marketing challenges facing schools
The course presenters will not expect participants to have any existing knowledge of marketing. The course will cover the marketing needs of primary, secondary and special schools.
The Strategic Marketing series will be especially useful for individuals responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies across multiple schools or a trust.

Yes, we can offer a one-day face to face Marketing workshop for School Business Professionals. Our workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to review, adapt and develop your school or trust’s current marketing and communications strategy; whilst ensuring it works in tandem with the strategic aims of the organisation.
This training is run directly by a specialist Marketing expert and Training and priced as follows:
Individual school / trust: £779 (+VAT)Min 1, max 5 delegates
Venue and refreshments (Including lunch) to be provided by the school / trust
Local network group or group of schools (i.e. Multi Academy Trust): £979 (+VAT)Min 5, max 20 delegates
Venue and refreshments (Including lunch) to be provided by local network group / MAT
Opportunity for you to generate income for your school by charging delegates an attendance fee of your choosing.
