ICFP Fundamentals Webinar

Overview

What ICFP training you require will depend on your knowledge and experience of ICFP to-date. If you are new to ICFP, we recommend that you attend this ICFP Fundamentals webinar to gain an understanding of the principles of ICFP and how it can be used.

This training will reference how ICFP tools can be used to help you calculate the metrics but does not specifically include training on how to use any one specific ICFP tool or software.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of undertaking the training, delegates will develop knowledge and skills in:

  • What ICFP is and its impact

  • How ICFP is used

  • An introduction to the ISBL Approach to ICFP

  • An introduction on how to accurately calculate the Balances Metrics and the 12 Key Metrics

  • Initial steps to interpreting these metrics

  • A brief overview of the ISBL ICFP tools

  • Our ICFP training uses the ISBL Approach to ICFP. You can read more about this here. This ICFP fundamentals webinar will cover the following areas:

    • Introduction to the ISBL Approach to ICFP

    • Introduction on how to accurately calculate the Balances Metrics and the 12 Key Metrics

    • Initial steps to interpreting these metrics

    • A brief overview of the ISBL ICFP tools

    • Short Q&A session

  • The training is a pre-recorded webinar that you can purchase on-demand and access straight away. The key principles of ICFP are delivered in sections, allowing you the opportunity to to pause and revisit sections as necessary.

    Please be aware that the training was recorded in May 2025 and the benchmark data discussed in the video may have since been updated. Up-to-date benchmark data can be purchased through ISBL as standalone threshold sheets or else are included as part of the ASOT / ASOT Essentials tools.   • We recognise that the school business profession is made up of individuals from a range of backgrounds, school settings, personal knowledge and indeed exposure to ICFP, so this webinar is a short, easily digestible and suitable for ICFP beginners.

    This training is also suitable for headteachers, governors/trustees and other senior school leaders who wish to gain an understanding of ICFP principles.

    If you are new to ICFP and want to know more about the key principles and how it can be used, then this introductory webinar is for you.

  • There is an ISBL member rate and a non-member rate for all our training programmes. All rates quoted below are inclusive of VAT and per person:

    • ISBL member rate: £58.80

    • Non member rate: £72
